Our Providers

Dr. Jennifer L. Schwab

Dr. Schwab graduated cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross in 1994 and the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1998.  She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha and serves on the Referring Provider Advisory Board at Connecticut Children's Medical Center. She has three children, Matt, Pat, and Maggie and lives in West Hartford with her husband, Jim. She enjoys reading, exercising, and learning new things. Every summer you will find her volunteering at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT.


Dr. Kathryn E. Litwin

Dr. Litwin completed her undergraduate education at Syracuse University and then went on to obtain a masters degree at Dartmouth College.  She attended The University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed residency training at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford where she was a Chief Resident. She and her husband have two children and recently moved back to her home town in the Northwestern corner of Connecticut to be close to family.  A one-time art major, Dr. Litwin still loves to paint and draw.  


Dr. Damian dos Santos

Dr. dos Santos graduated from Amherst College in 2007 and from the University of Connecticut Medical School in 2011. He completed his Pediatrics Residency at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX and was also Chief Resident for 1 year. After living in Texas for 5 years, he and his wife, Nicole, decided to move back to CT. They now live in Farmington with their new Boston Terrier puppy. He enjoys hiking, soccer, football, and taking his wife's yoga classes.


Dr. David C. Muccino

Dr. Muccino graduated summa cum laude from Fairfield University and attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He received a masters degree in biostatistics and clinical epidemiology from Yale University. He completed his residency training at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Muccino and his fiancée, Kelly, (a former patient of Dr. Fote) are overjoyed to be back in their home state of Connecticut. In his spare time, Dr. Muccino enjoys biking, kayaking, hiking, cooking, and volunteering at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.


Nurse Practitioners

Rachel, Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Lactation Consultant

Rachel has been caring for patients in our practice for many years and is a highly regarded member of our team.  She completed her Pediatric training at Yale University and sees patients up to 21 years of age.  She and her husband Peter have three children, Grace, Samuel and Charlotte.  She enjoys spending time with her family who still live in the town where she grew up.  She recently obtained her Certification as a Lactation Consultant.


Janna Zempsky, Nurse Practitioner, Lactation Consultant

Janna joined our practice in 2014 and has a wealth of experience caring for families.  She is a certified Lactation Consultant who spent several years working at Hartford Hospital supporting new moms interested in breastfeeding.  She and her husband Bill live locally in the Hartford area and have two grown boys.  Janna enjoys yoga and is a certified yoga instructor.  


Dr. John J. Fote retired June 2018

After graduating from St. Christopher’s Medical School and residency program, Dr. Fote served as the pediatrician at an Army Hospital for several years.  For more than 30 years he has provided exceptional care to children in the greater Hartford area. He has six children and fifteen grandchildren. As of June 30, 2018, he has retired to spend more time with his family, but is so thankful for the opportunity to care for so many of our families, including multiple generations.
