Dr. Jennifer L. Schwab
Dr. Schwab graduated cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross in 1994 and the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1998. She serves as the Chair of the Connecticut Children's Care Network, an organization of over 200 pediatricians in Connecticut which focuses on improving the quality and affordability of healthcare for children and their families. She is also the Division Chief of Community Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She enjoys sharing her medical knowledge with students and residents and serves as a mentor for many of them. You may even encounter students shadowing Dr. Schwab during your time in our office. She and her husband Jim, have three children, Matt, Pat and Maggie. Dr. Schwab enjoys reading, exercising and embracing new opportunities. Every summer you will find her volunteering her time at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in CT which provides a camp experience for seriously ill children and their families.
Dr. Kathryn E. Litwin
Dr. Litwin completed her undergraduate education at Syracuse University and then went on to obtain a masters degree at Dartmouth College. She attended The University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed residency training at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford where she was a Chief Resident. She and her husband have two children and recently moved back to her home town in the Northwestern corner of Connecticut to be close to family. A one-time art major, Dr. Litwin still loves to paint and draw.
Dr. David C. Muccino
Dr. Muccino graduated summa cum laude from Fairfield University and attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He received a masters degree in biostatistics and clinical epidemiology from Yale University. He completed his residency training at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Muccino and his fiancée, Kelly, (a former patient of Dr. Fote) are overjoyed to be back in their home state of Connecticut. In his spare time, Dr. Muccino enjoys biking, kayaking, hiking, cooking, and volunteering at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
Rachel, Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP)
Rachel has been caring for patients in our practice for many years and is a highly regarded member of our team. She completed her Pediatric training at Yale University and sees patients up to 21 years of age. Rachel is also a Certified Lactation Consultant. She and her husband Peter have three children, Grace, Samuel and Charlotte. She enjoys spending time with her family who still live in the town where she grew up.
Janna Zempsky, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN)
Janna joined our practice in 2014. She is a pediatric nurse practitioner (APRN) and has a wealth of experience caring for families over the past 30 years. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with experience in the public and private healthcare sectors. She and her husband Bill live locally in the Hartford area and have two grown boys. Janna enjoys yoga and woodworking.
