New RSV Shot for Babies
Thu, Oct 5, 2023
Beyfortus (nirsevimab) is a new medication that is given as a one time shot to infants 8 months of age and younger to protect them against RSV (respiratory syncytial virus). More information on this new medication can be found here. Unfortunately, there is a supply shortage of nirsevimab this year. While we still have doses for newborn babies, we will not receive any more doses for older infants.
